Burnley Community Festival

Burnley Community Festival

This action packed, thoroughly alive open-air festival returns, featuring a wicked selection of popular music, theatre, art and artists in the summer setting of Queen’s Park.
This is the perfect venue for Lancashire’s Picnic Month, and with exotic Asian Halal food on the menu, plus healthy eating demos from Burnley Food Forum, good summer tucker will be plentiful. Find out how to prepare freshly made soups, salads and delicious meals using fresh locally grown and seasonal produce. Local chefs will be demonstrating how easy it is to make good food for all the family and you’ll have the opportunity to taste for yourself how fantastically flavoursome healthy food can be. The Veka Main Stage showcases performances from
the Manchester Samba band to the acoustic melodies of Lucy and the Caterpillar. Sketch is a collective of professional artists working with and inspiring young people over the summer months to produce an explosive performance on the day. Showcases for local bands and performing artists are led by Say - some of the most accessible music since the Beatles and the Beach Boys, Burnley Youth Theatre and youth dance performances.
